Private Guitar Lessons
If you have a strong desire to learn to play guitar or bass, I'd love to help you! I teach guitar, beginning to advanced and beginning/Intermediate bass for ages 6 to 66+. There are no ‘typical’ students. Students range from absolute beginners to those who can play a bit but feel that they still don’t ‘get it’ and need help connecting the dots. Whether you are looking to play in a band, just want to be able to strum songs around the campfire, or need to understand how to improvise, I can help get you there. If you want to understand music, how to sight read or simply to understand chord diagrams & tablature, no problem. Whatever your goals on the guitar are, I will work to create a personalized curriculum so that you are making enjoyable, recognizable progress.
Why should you hire me to teach you to play?
The guitar is an easy instrument to pick up but one difficult to really understand & play. Many beginners get very frustrated when they ‘feel’ that they just aren’t getting it…they think they are a lost cause! Not true, you can learn to play to the degree you want to & enjoy the guitar for a lifetime, however, most people need help to get there and that’s where an instructor who both teaches & coaches you on your personal goals is necessary.....Private lessons in my Studio cost $75.00 per month for a 1/2 hr. lesson once per week. I teach at my studio, Studio 5, located in: Graner Music 4460 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917. If you don't live in Colorado Springs but want lessons thru Skype, they cost $40 for a single hour lesson or $65 per month for a 1/2hr lesson once per week.
